I'm Nadine. Mother to the Monkey (2 years) and his baby sister (born this January) and married to my wonderful loving husband FreezeM.. I was born August 8 1978, so I'm ... almost 30 (eeeek)! I work part time, although now I am enjoying my parental leave until this summer!

Dry, by Augusten Burroughs

My husband got me a new book from my favorite author Augusten Burroughs for Christmas. I can not wait to start reading it.

The China Study, by T. Colin Campbell.

A must reed for anyone intrested in food and nutrition. The book continues to be an eye opener. I never realized there was so many proof to what food can do to keep you healthy or that it can kill you. *****

Sellevision: A Novel, by Augusten Burroughs

I LOVE Augusten Burroughs. His books make me laugh out loud in a crowded public transport. Though slightly embarrising, it is nothing compared to what his characters go through in his books. *****

Ready to go

Well almost anyway..

Some clothes that have to come with us.. are still drying.

And there are huge delays at the airport we're leaving from tomorrow. Why? Oh, a bomb from WOII was found in the area. AND magic fog has surrounded the airport area.

Bu you can help!
I need you to all turn on your hairdryers and point them towards The Netherlands. That will hopefully dry the clothes AND blow away the fog. Thank you!!!

Aloha!

Just one more week.
Untill we’ll say our I do’s.
Literally. Not in Dutch “Ja”. But in English.
Because?
We will not say our I do’s in The Netherlands.
But on a Hawaiian beach.

We’re eloping!
(yeah, I know, I can’t believe I waited this long to tell you)

Marrying on a beach has always been a dream of us. It just seems the right thing to do.

Now before I get hate mail saying we’re selfish. This is what feels right. This is where we want to say I do. This is how we want to start the rest of our lives. Luckily, when we told the parents a couple of months ago that we were planning on marrying on a beach far far away, they were very happy for us. Also, they admitted they weren’t really expecting us to have a traditional wedding (I’m not sure that’s a good thing :)).

Although we’re eloping and leaving our family here in The Netherlands, my soon to be mother in law has been SO sweet to help me with my wedding dress. I bought it 2 months ago. Before the belly. She spend a lot of time making it fit on my ever growing pregnant body. There is even a bit of room left for a little more belly.

So… this Friday we’ll fly to LA. We’ll stay there one night before we’re off to Oahu, Hawaii.

On our way back, we have two nights in LA. There we’ll meet up with our friend Zandria! I’m SO looking forward to seeing her again. I just know we’ll have SO much fun.

We still have a few things to prepare for we leave. But since I'm off work as of this Wednesday afternoon, I'll probably update a little more before we'll leave.

Will I go to jail for neglecting my blog friends?

I’m sorry to have kept you in the dark for so many days. It wasn’t until I got a few sweet & worried e-mails that I realized I really neglected my blog friends for too long. Thanks for caring & I’ll try to do better.

First off, iBaby is fine. Mr. Sweety is fine. I’m fine.

School, wedding & travel plans, celebrating birthdays, buying baby stuff, work, buying bras (my boobs are doing a parody of Super Size Me and well deserve their own blog), and cleaning house (I swear, I don’t know what has gotten into me) just got in the way of blogging.
And when I did find time to write this post? My webhost decided to move and screw up server settings so I couldn't even update.

Enough excuses: The ultrasound went very well! iBaby looks very healthy and we now know if iBaby is a boy or a girl. But yeah, we are a bit annoying and are keeping it a secret from everyone we know, including our online friends.

Some of you have asked a few additional questions in order to guess if iBaby is a boy or a girl. I’ll try to answer them all:

When did you conceive?
Mid May, probably late in the evening under the influence of many many glasses of wonderful Italian wine.

Have you had morning sickness?
A little. I had a little naussea throughout the day between the 6th week and 11th week.

Are you carrying high or low?

Are you all out front, all over, or carrying in your back?
You be the judge of that. The belly @ 21 weeks:

What is the rate of the heartbeat?
I won’t tell, because iBaby fits right in that statistic! ;)

Does the dad where boxers or briefs?
LOL! Mr. Sweety wears boxers.

Here’s another picture of our little baby. How cute is (s)he?
