Danger! Surgical masks on!
Virus? Flu? Bug? I dont know what it is, but it has kept me in bed for the last five days. Fever, muscle ache, sore throat, headache. Bwah!
The good news is that Im feeling a bit better (obviously since Im posting this).
It began with a little dizziness last Thursday at 2 PM (really) at work. I thought I was working too hard. But within ONE hour I had a fever and whatnot. I hope the evil bug stays away from the hubby and Tim.
A funny thing though last Friday, just after noon, I had a job interview! And I went! Ofcourse not before I popped a truck full of painkillers & vitamins. OK, Im exaggerating: it was just a town car. When I walked out of here I felt like Lucy in the sky with diamonds. I flew to the interview. On the Neverending Story dog!
I thought the interview went OK. But really, the whole world looked like one big marshmallow: I was high! When I came out the office building I dropped down to earth. I couldnt find my flying dog, took the tram back home and went straight to bed.
But they must have liked Lucy. I have a second interview this Monday!
Keep your fingers crossed that they like me sober.
My mom has been helping out with Tim. Shes really great. Plus shes keeping the house clean. Thanks mom! And the hubby has been really wonderful too. Taking care of Tim, cleaning, doing groceries, taking care of me. Hes been mom & dad for the last few days. I really did marry Mr. Perfect.
Ill stop babbling and leave you with a pair of neverending doggie eyes.
(I removed the image, sorry!)
Can I buy Zzz’s on Ebay?
I am tired!
So tired!
I have been lying in bed for over an HOUR.
I am still tired!
Hubby is really great. I put my PJ’s on. He brought me some hot tea. He put me to bed. Brought me my Apple. And while I spend some time surfing the internet with as little brain activity as possible… he cleaned the KITCHEN! Hooray!
The tiredness mainly comes from very busy days at work. And perhaps the insanely amount of schoolwork isn’t helping either.
So here I am. About to post the most random post ever. And really for one reason only. I know that at this very moment, the hubby is sitting behind his computer too. I am hoping that he will read this. And that he suddenly realizes some chocolate or kruidnootjes would be mighty fine with that tea.
Honey: left kitchen cupboard, in the back, next to the coffee. Hurry!
Pooh!

Something tells me, that when Tim is 14, he would like me to take this post down.
Happy 1st anniversary!

My sweetest husband,
My mind is full of loving words for you. But I'll just say, this last year was the best of my life. Thanks for being my husband, the father of our son and just for being you.
Forever yours,
Nadine
Nine of us
At work, my department consists of nine women and three men. One of the men is the boss (the other two want to be). Anyways, this is not about the men. It’s about the women. Let me tell you a little something about us.
Two of us want to have children, tried IVF and didn't succeed.
Two of us don’t want to have children (anytime soon).
Two of us got pregnant and are blessed with beautiful sons.
Three of us got pregnant ‘ by accident’ and are still pregnant or blessed with a son.
Looking at these numbers, I could say ‘ one out of three women gets pregnant by accident’. And ‘two out of nine women can’t have children’. But I know these numbers are hardly representative for the world statistics. And that’s a good thing, because when four out of four births are boys... we’ll be in big trouble!
A proven statistic is that one out of nine women gets breast cancer. One out of nine. That means that there’s a good chance one of my female colleagues, or me, will be struggling with this disease. Who will it be?
Will one of us die and leave a husband and a son? Will one of us struggle for life after struggling to create life for so long? Nine women. All different. But same fear. And non of us deserve to get this disease.
If only one out of nine of you help to fight breast cancer, you’ll brighten my day and life. Wear a pink ribbon, spread the word, volunteer, donate or visit the BoobieThon.
Thanks! Nine times.
These boots were made for walking crawling
Everybody has been getting a lot more sleep since The Tooth finally broke through. But hey, who needs sleep anyway?

Tim’s also had a few successful attempts at crawling. He enjoys it. It’s fun to see him get around the living room.

He’s also bored with most of his toys. So, to celebrate Tim turning 8 months, we got him 2 new, more challenging toys. A cute car, which scared the living diaper rash out of him when he first saw it…

And an educational toy, which produces a gazillion songs when you push on of the many colourful buttons.

Ofocurse his favorite toy is still Simba.

We’re not the only ones to spoil him: the cutest 'Cactus-Fish' couple in Blogiverse send him a shirt & a pair of cool cowboy boots! Beth certainly succeeded in finding an American gift. Awesome. Thanks!
A package! For me?

Those boots are delicious!

That’s all for now!
