I'm Nadine. Mother to the Monkey (2 years) and his baby sister (born this January) and married to my wonderful loving husband FreezeM.. I was born August 8 1978, so I'm ... almost 30 (eeeek)! I work part time, although now I am enjoying my parental leave until this summer!

Dry, by Augusten Burroughs

My husband got me a new book from my favorite author Augusten Burroughs for Christmas. I can not wait to start reading it.

The China Study, by T. Colin Campbell.

A must reed for anyone intrested in food and nutrition. The book continues to be an eye opener. I never realized there was so many proof to what food can do to keep you healthy or that it can kill you. *****

Sellevision: A Novel, by Augusten Burroughs

I LOVE Augusten Burroughs. His books make me laugh out loud in a crowded public transport. Though slightly embarrising, it is nothing compared to what his characters go through in his books. *****

Vote honors turkey photos

It’s still a bit crazy around here, hence the lack of updates.

We have to VOTE today. We have 24 (!!) parties to choose from. Crazy I tell you. I'm still in doubt, because all parties have something I like and I am not 100% sure about any of them.

I got a 7.6 on one of my exams. Which means an 8 on my list.. and that means I am still on my way to graduate with honors. Who said something about giving up on that? Was it me?

Happy holidays to those who celebrate Thanksgiving. In The Netherlands it's not a holiday, so I'll be working & going to school like every other Thusrday.

I promise to update & catch up on my blogreading soon. For now, justa photo update :)

Priorities

It’s been a bit quiet around here. I am sorry about that.

FreezeM (the hubby) was very generous and shared his flu virus with me. How sweet is that? So we’ve both been sick in bed the last few days. Funny, I haven’t been sick in two years (!) and now I’m sick TWICE in one month.

I never realized that when you have kids, being sick is not an option. It’s just not possible. And about that, I have to say that the respect I have for single moms (and single dads) keeps growing as I travel this road of motherhood. I cannot imagine how I would deal with being sick AND take care of Tim all by myself. I’m sure I would do what needed to be done, but having someone to share this with, does make it a lot easier.

My school exams last week didn’t go well. At all. I hope I passed both of them, but I’m not very optimistic. I don’t think I’ll be graduating with honors anymore. But that might be something I’ll just have to except. Being a mom is my first priority. A good wife to the hubby and being the best Nadine I possibly can, second. To graduate is still very high on that list. But I think I just gave up on perfect grades.

On a lighter not, I am feeling better. And I hope to have a little more time for blogging soon. It's about time for more Tim photos. And I should update on the house we bought. We get the keys December 1st!
